Long time no talk

Hello everyone. It has been about maybe 5 months or more (I was not keeping track of how long since I have last blogged on my blog). But it is good to be blogging again. I am been busy with school, my cross country program, friends, family, and video games.

I couldn't believe that the first trimester of my school has finished already. Being a sophomore is actually easier than being a freshman, because I know the feeling of high school, made better plans, and I knew the school better. Things have gone crazy for me and some other friends of mine in school. We had a day when half of the school did not have power because of a wind storm. We somehow have school, but a lot of people left the school and went home, they were mainly seniors since they have their own transportation. I stayed at school and got somethings done that I did not have to worry about. I finished my algebra chapter test and the worksheets from other classes. I had finished all my final examines last week and this week. It was a relief to not worry about too much on the finals since I know that I did my best, studied everything, and did everything for this school year. I have gained a lot of knowledge from all my classes and I am graceful for that. I want to thank my first trimester teachers for their efforts. I can't wait until I see them again in the second and/or third trimester. I have an empty mind for more learning experience and my mind buds are very hungry for that knowledge. For now, I am on my thanksgiving break and I am relaxing with my family. Pretty soon, I know I have to get my mind back on and get ready for the second trimester that is coming after this week. I hope my friends are having fun on their break and hope they are ready for the next trimester.

I hope that everyone had a successful first part section of their school. But get ready, because your time in school is not done and you have to get your mind working again for more learning. Enjoy your break and blog you all later.

Summer part deux (two)

Hey everyone. I told you I would blog today. Hehe. It is cool here right now (thanks to the rain last night) I hope everyone is having a nice cool summer (I don't like the afternoons, it gets very hot) Time is going very fast once you don't count the days (just like when I was not counting the days left of schools, and boy it just past when I am not looking). Right now, things are going smoothly, what about you? AT 6 today, I am going run with my friends in my high school cross country camp to get us back into running.

Well I don't have anythings else to today. Have fun today and stay cool to all the people out there.

Summer

Hello everyone. Sorry that I have not been blogging for the last two months. You know what session it is right? Every teenagers wanted this time to be themselves, it would be summer break. I am enjoying my summer with my friends, family, and myself. I won't be able to blog for the next two weeks or more after next week. I am going to a summer camp in Colorado with my little sister to visit our grand-mother. I can' t wait to see her again. I hope everyone has planned what they are doing this summer. We have only about one, two, or three more months until school year would be back on and learn many new things for us in the future. I hope everyone is enjoying their time. I will bog again tomorrow. Talk to you all tomorrow. See ya.

Long time

It has been a long time since I blog. Sorry about that. I was busy with school. My dad went to Australia for three weeks. This is his third. This Wednesday, he is coming home. I can't wait until I hear his adventure in Australia. He went to Australia once, this is his second time.
My mom is working as usual at the Radisson. They serve good breakfast, trust me, they have good bacon. My little sister is just the same. Right now, she is at her friend's birthday party. I hope she smiles and have a good time there.
Next week, Memorial Day is coming. Loy Norrix is going to march on that day. I am very excited to march again this year. I really enjoy marching. Since I am in marching band and symbolic band. I play the alto saxophone for those band. It is my third year playing the alto saxophone.
Now, the weather is very good here. It is warm, sunny, and it is Spring. I am glad that winter is over. I will continue on blogging and do it more often. Hope everyone is enjoying so far. Summer break is coming very soon for everyone. I hope everyone has a plan. Bye everyone.

Just another week

Hello everyone. It is been a while since I posted on my blog. The weather is great, warm, and cool. It does get really hot in the afternoons, but cool in the even. I hope the weather is good for you all.

School has been the same. I have homework over this weekend, one is a project and two are for studying. I did get a head start on it yesterday. I bet everyone at my school do not like to have homework over the weekends. School is school. School are classes that teach you stuff that could be used in the future.

My family are busy. My dad flew to Australia with some college students, my mom is at the Radison work for the morning job. My sister is at her friend's house playing. I am here alone playing on the computer. I don't know what you people are doing, but I hope it is not nothing.

Thursday was the best day of this week. I had a concert at my high school and it was hot. The middle school kids performed first. They first did solo/ensembles, then they perform their full band. Then it was our turn to do solo/ensembles. After everyone was done, the audience get to get a snack,  high school clothing, or just hang around while the jazz band performed. I was the alto saxophonist that did all the solos. It was my first time doing solos. It was fun as heck. A lot of people were enjoying it. I even stand up to do my solos. We only got to play two songs because we want to get the concert going. Everyone wanted more from the jazz band, but we will do more in the future. The stage was set up for us to perform and it was great and hot. We were sweaty (well, I was the most sweaty). In the end, we got the people to have a great time. I love that day.

I hope next week would go good for me and you all. Talk to you later. See ya.

Back in school.

Hello, I am back. Yep, it's raining and it's boring, we all want a sunny day. Here in Michigan, it was pouring frogs (not actually) and thunder wanted to play with us. Though it did give the grass a nice fresh of water.
Now to school. Ever thing is back to normal. I am tending to my normal classes, seeing my friends, working well with my teachers, and learning something new everyday. In French 1 B, we are learning how to say family members in french and about France for wedding, holidays, and pets. In Geometry, we had to do a problem that is a triangle. They gave us coordinates that forms a right triangle. I had to look through my notes so that I could find an equation that I learned in Geometry A. It is the Distance Formula. After I found the lengths, I had to find the angles by ratios like Sin. Cosine and Tan. They are used for right triangles only. I had to basically put what I learned last week and this week about how to find lengths and angles with the ratios and the Law of Sine or Cosine. I finished it, now I have to wait till tomorrow to give out our answers. Now in Biology B, we have a project on making an analogy on a cell. I have a partner for this. We came up with an idea of what analogy we would use. The project is due on Tuesday, which gives us enough time to plan and do the project. Next class, World History B, we watched a video about World War 2 propaganda cartoons. Some people were explaining different types and why they were used. I did watch an example in English B called "Education to Death". It shows about a life of a German kid. I did learn a lot from them. What surprised me was that they were made by Walt Disney. I didn't know that he makes cartoons in World War 2. Now final class, band. We didn't play very much music, actually, we only played two musics. He was working with the percussion. They had to fix some things in the music. In the end, we did get to play two songs, Hey Jude and The Final Countdown.
Once school finished, I just come home and play the piano. At 6:00, I had saxophone lessons. I practice new scales and other things that has to do with jazz.
I enjoyed my day. I hope the rain doesn't make everyone's day low. Have a good day.

The Spring Break

Who had a great spring beak? I know that I had a fantastic spring break. What I got to do was fly to Vancouver, British Columbia to visit my aunt. It is located in Canada, so my parents researched a flight to right on that flies to Vancouver. The airport that I took was O'hare Airport, which is in Chicago, Illinois.  I flew by myself, since the tickets are really expensive. And if you know who flies to foreign countries, you have to go through condoms, which they ask you if you are bringing anything that is legally and why you are going there. I was nervous that they would ask me questions that I don't know. In the end though, I was able to answer to the questions and get to the entrance where my aunt was waiting for me.
I found her and she was really glad to me and can't wait to spend time with me. While we were still at the airport, we bought some tickets at some locations that Betsy and I would go to. After we bought the tickets, we started our day by riding the train to downtown. When we got to her apartment, I put my stuff up, got in the car, and drove to the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanly Parks. While at the Vancouver Aquarium, we saw seals, dolphins, fishes (some was looking at nothing and I was trying to imitate them), baloga whales, and many other sea animals. It was great. :-)
We finished looking at the sea animals, we drove around Stanley Park, to Spanish Banks, then to Queen Elma Peter Park. The view was amazing. At one of the parks, we saw the Lions Gate Bridge. It was really long. Trust me.

Free day

One dark, cool day, a boy named Martin was about to go to sleep until his father said that there is no school tomorrow. Martin said "What!", "Yes. The principle said that the water pipes were frozen. He sent an email to everyone and called to let them know that there is no school on March 25.", dad explained. In my mind, I was not happy because I enjoy going to school everyday. I learn from my teachers. I bet that some students are happy that there is no school today. Time goes really fast everyday, so today is going to be like an ordinary day.
I got some things going on today, like researching about some actors from "Fresh Prince of Bel-A" and help me mom bake some cookies
The main actor that made the show funny in "Fresh Prince of Bel-A" was Will. My dad wanted me to see if the other actors are still being actors or join in any other movies. Or quit  being an actor and going back to a normal life or so. I know that Will has been in many movies like "Man in Black 1, 2, and 3. Also I think he is the voice of Donkey in all of the Shrek movies. He just wanted me to see what things has turned out for the actors.
My mom is going to make three different snacks for my dad's meeting. I am going to help her. My dad created a business starter called Pitch Zoo. I have been to the first meeting. We had a good amount of people who joined in. What is going to happen is that a person would be given three minutes to present their idea to us. After those three minutes are up, people are allowed to ask questions. They have five minutes to ask questions before the next person comes up and present their idea. Every speaker would get a Pitched Zoo t-shirt for presenting their idea. The meeting is about one hour. Today is the second meeting. I hope more people would come to the meeting. I will sometimes join in the meeting. Maybe even present my idea that I am working on (My dad got the idea. He wants me to make the website. It is called Pick-n-Run.).
The weather is cool and windy today. The weather report said that there might be a chance of snow today. Lets hope that it won't snow heavily. I really want spring to come so that I could get back into running. Blog ya later.

The new week

This week has been great. I get to go to my new classes with the teachers that I know from the 2nd trimester and the 1st trimester. I have French 1 B, Geometry B, Biology B, World History B, and Symbolic band. I like my teachers that I have, they are funny, nice, understandable, and good at communicating with you. We are going to settle down and get into the trimester. We are close to the end of the trimester, which is going by quick when you don't pay attention to the days, which I don't like it to go that fast.
The weather here is still cold here and I wish that winter would just be over with, I want Spring to come so that I could run in the cool or warm day. I am being to wish that winter here is not my type. I know that my mom hates that cold here. She would wear lairs. Hehe. I hope you people are staying warm or cool right now.

The big week

This week is big for me. In school, I have 2 trimester tests. On Tuesday (yesterday), I had Geometry A as my test. Today (Wednesday), I had French 1 A and English 9 B test. Tomorrow (Thursday), I have Biology A and symbolic band test. I had to study a lot on french manly, which I enjoy doing because I am learning a language that my mom could speak and her cousins are in Europe. The fun part of the French test is the writing part. It is when they tell us to write something like my favorite food, my classes, and other questions that we had to answer in French. That put me to the test about what to write in French. It is a good practice to write in French. English 9 B was a little difficult because we had to write two 5- paragraph essays. The first one took me almost three fourths of my testing time. But I was able to finish it in time. Also this week is the last 4 days of our 2nd trimester classes. Next week, we going into the 3rd trimester. I am excited to continue and I love my school. :-)

Short week and band stuff

This week has been short. The reason is that we had no school on Tuesday and half days on Wednesday and Thursday. Juniors had tests on those days, so we were not allowed to be at school on Tuesday and came to school in the after noons on Wednesday and Thursday. We still had lots of homework, which I finished. Band has been going great. We are having our last rehearsal this Saturday because next Saturday, we are going to Chicago to march in the parade. It is going to be our real and biggest marching that we would ever do. Lets hope that the weather is not bad. I would hate it if it is bad out.

Long week

Week 11 has ended for the school year. After next week, it would be the test week, and when that is over, if would be a mew trimester. Things has been good, a project turned in, graded a short story from a friend of mine, finishing a chapter book in one week, and many other things. Saxophone lesson was great, I get to play a surpreno  saxophone for the first time, it was great! I have a goal, to play all the saxophones that are out there. The saxophones that I am planning to buy is a tenner saxophone and a surpreno saxophone so that I could get into my goal. Guitar lesson is going great, I am getting into the song, Crazy Train. Now to band, in two weeks, we will have the Chicago parade that we will join in. It is going to be my second parade, but the biggest maybe. I can't wait to be in it and to have fun. Anyway, it is cold here and we had band rehearsal, we marched for about 20 minutes, but it was enough to freeze our fingers off. I am now in my warm home. Stay warm out there or cool.

Long weekend

Hello everyone. It snowed here and it is very cold. I don't have school today. I have two projects that I need to finish on. One is due on Tuesday,  the second one I do not know when it is due. But I know it is due before the test week (next week). They are English projects, the biggest one is about the book that we read, Night. We have to have 22 slides to do and my teacher will look at it. I know I would be able to finish them. I have more things to do this weekend, practice my instruments, do some coding, and other home stuff. It is going to be one long weekend. I have to be studying for the 2nd trimester tests that is coming very soon. Stay warm the people that are in Michigan. We are still in the winters, not in the spring.

The fever session

Hi everyone, it's me, Martin. Things has not been good for me (not in school), I have this fever on Wednesday. I had to stay at home to let my body rest. Yesterday and today, my fever started to get lower, but my cough and my nose are not yet. I was not the only student that was sick, some students maybe had the fever. Since we are in the winter time, a lot of students are not keeping warm when they got outside and that they wear short sleeves shirts. Well, I hope that in the future by Monday, my fever would be gone.

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Early in the morning.

Today is Dimanche (Saturday) and it is 7 degrees. Snow on the ground, no snow on the roads though. Last night we had a basketball game at my high school against Battle Creak. The girls lost and I think so for the boys too. The band did not play very much. We only played the Star Spangle Banner, fight song, and Secret Agent Man. The rest were played by the beat box. Even though we didn't play much, we did to enter in free and take a break on the third quarter to get a drink and some food. School is going great and we will have some trim tests next week. I do them on Monday, they are on French (what we just learned last week and the week before) and the other one is on Biology. They are small tests about what we have covered over last week and the week before. Now, dad and I are planning to buy a tenner and a soprano saxophone. When I get them, I am going to start on tenner before I get to play the soprano. My goal is to be able to play all the saxophones. Saxophone is my favorite woodwind, soprano is the one that I will really like to play. I got the idea from a performance of Kenny G.. The music that he plays makes me want to play the saxophone. Dad and I are trying to find a good price to buy a tenner and a soprano. I can't wait and enjoy your weekend.

Sorry for being late.

Sorry that I have not been posting. I keep forgetting that I have to post at least 2  posts on my blog. School has been great and I am learning a lot of things that I enjoy. Homework has been filling my time, which is good it increases my understanding about what we are learning, for example french, I had a homework about what to write and how to say the colors with the object that we are talking about. My friends are doing great and also my teachers are doing great on teaching us new knowledge about what we could use in the future. I love school and I learn a lot, which is my goal for every school year. I am going to catch up with my posts and I will talk something new everyday.

A long and great week

Things had been long. I had some homework and a parent/ teacher conference today. When I got my progress report in my classes, there was  one class that I got a C-. It was biology. I didn't understand why I got a C-, I have been working and paying attention in class everyday. When I found out that I only missed a test (because my dad was graduating in university of Louisville), did not turn in two assignments, and got a low grade on one assignment. I got the stuff to get my grade and I am tired after doing all those assignments to raise my grade. My other four classes I got was great comments. Mr. Drummer (my band director) was my last teacher to talk to and we talked I think about one hour. He is a great guy to talk to, trust me. My homework is good for me and I am ready to learn more. Good night.

The school and break week

This week was like a pattern. Monday was school day, Tuesday was a snow day, Wednesday was a school day, Thursday was a snow day, and today is a school day. The weather on Tuesday and Thursday was crazy, the temperature was freezing and there was a lot of snow. The house kept us warm and toasty. When we wait outside, our noses would freeze, which I don't like. When I found in the morning of Tuesday and Thursday that there is no school, I was surprised and not happy. Some of my classes had to move some tests and homework over next week. Today however, it was a half day, I only got to go to three out of my five classes. We left at 10:45 am, which was still in the morning. This weekend is another break for us( if you add the days that we did not have school) I do not know what I am going to do over the weekends, but I just know that it is going to be a relaxing weekend.

Morning run and website making

Today is a cold, snowy morning here in Michigan. I did my morning in the cold. My index finger freeze before the first mile. It was also windy, so that made it worse for my face. I have not been blogging for a while, which I should post two a week. Also, I have not been coding, which is not good for me. I need to do more coding than just being lazy on the computer for a long time. My dad and I are going to start on the website, picknrun. We just added a group on Facebook, you are welcome to join in. We are making the website for it. My aunt is making pictures for the website while my dad and I make the website. It is coming soon, so be ready to pick up trash when you are running or walking. We are going to clean up the world one run at a time.

The trip and more coding

I had a great time meeting my dad's friend that I had meet about 5 or 6 years ago. We went sledding, visited the area, and hang out. I drove us home to Kalamazoo, it was easy to drive on the free way. My dad's friend was up North from here. It toke us about 3 hours to get there. He was a nice guy and they are starting to move up to their new house that we visited, which is not that bad. We came home about 4:30 pm. When we got home, I started to code. I finished the basic part 1 of HTML and I am on part 2. I also did a project on the HTML, which was pretty easy. On my second HTML lesson, I was learning how to make ordered and unordered  lists. I feel that HTML is easier than Java Script. In the end, I had a great week and school is about to come up in two days. I hope that we get to do the tests that we missed last Saturday. Good bye.
